I had a post about moving from bacon county.
And I was asking is there any hot keepers in the
area that could be a mentor for me and help me further my knowlege. Lakeland Ga. has a nice hot herp
population . It's better, safer,and more fun to have a friend or mentor to go out in the field with.
Everyone exept my family thinks I'm nuts for being a hot herp hobbiest. Just a few honost lines that might help with my carrer.

i havent been doing it long enough to advise anyone, but if you're a pretty smart person, just use common sense....i dont care what some of the EXPERTS will tell u, learning stuff on your own isnt a sin and is the best way to learn and remember, in my opinion....if u can find someone who is the mentor type, and is actually willing to help u out, consistently, then latch on because that would be invaluable....but i have yet to find that type of person...the closest thing would be a knowledgeable vet, but he has a bunch of other priorities.....be careful who u trust....certain people might want to sound like a grade A herper who has seen and been through it all, when in reality they are just someone trying to make a dollar...hehe....seriously, though,good luck with it all.....cya
