Are you the same "greasemonkey" getting rid of the atheris because you don't like the husbandry requirements? Dude, you sure seem to be getting a lot of snakes you don't know how to keep!

WOW arent we angry. I have a collection of several snakes (over 20) I want to sell the bush viper because it needs seperate care that I do not have time to provide. I take care of the long nose just fine it shits, eats, sheds and drinks but I have found there are people on this website Like Chris Harper that know more than I do and I like to get their input on things. It sounds like you have a problem with me I guess that is why you posted anonymous huh? I take care of alot of snakes just ask Chris I just moved from Ga. to here and I am sure he heard about DNR popping me with mambas and such so I take care of alot more than you most likely

I see if we ask questions here we are attacked? Is this the way the webmaster wants this to be?

ok guys lets try and be adults here. I am sorry I ask I will just keep looking for more info in the meantime the snake is fine and as for the rest of my collection they are fine also all feeding good and I have learned from this not to come here to find anything out about anything because someone will think I am not responsible for my animals. I stopped visiting the BOI because of gossip and lies and I guess the same applies here. Thanks Bob

The picture in the Anon E. Mouse profile would be none other than Hank Williams Jr. if I'm not mistaken...
Second item... I wish I could help you (Bob) with your husbandry question about the long nosed viper, but I've never kept *any* vipera ssp, and so anything I might post to your intial question would be speculative..... The only advice I can give is to do a "Google" search on vipera husbandry or care to see what pops up...
Best wishes...

It seems like every time I have duty and can't get to a computer, things get out of hand in here.
Greasemonkey:
Can you give me a Latin name for "Long-nosed Vipers"?
For some reason all I can equate them with is one of the Agkistrodon ssps and I can't remember which one.
We just published an excellent article on Calloselasma (Tom did you get this newsletter?) that may give some useful information if I am correct about this being one of the Asian forms of Agkistrodon.

PS - Looking into this "Hank Williams Jr." potstirrer. Shouldn't he be on tour or something? KHB
