Most people who are knowledgeable about herpetology avoid the term "water moccasin" as many people commonly apply that term to any type of water snake. Cottonmouth is definitely the preferred common name for Agkistrodon piscivorous ssp.

I guess the "herp person" kid did not like what we had to say about his identification of the water snake not being a cottonmouth, LOL !

lol yea nooo joke haha. It was a nice picture though, an a beautiful water snake. all she had to do was just edit the title an description not like it woulda been that hard. guess she didn't wanna admit she was wrong lol.
