The Guest Speaker for the SHHS Banquet will be Chris Harper !
Chris will be presenting a excellent program called:
"Snakebite in Sri Lanka"
In this program, Chris will discuss the species of snakes present in Sri Lanka, the effects of their venoms, and the current treatment of the bites. The talk will include an excellent Power Point Slide Show.
The Banquet has been sold out for a couple of weeks now.
However, I talked with Cathy tonight, and she said she would start a waiting list, in case anyone who reserved a space drops out. The cost of the BBQ dinner is $10.00 a person, payable in advance, at the opening of the Reptile Show. So, if you did not make reservations for the Banquit, contact Cathy, as there is a slight chance that a few more folks might be able to attend, if someone drops out.

That's sad when I haven't been there enough........that I'm called a guest. :-) Ah well, I will make sure that venomous snake enthusiasts will enjoy this program. I'll be a bit more colorful than I was in Mexico when I gave this talk.

Chris, I would never say that you have not been there for the SHHS, because you have been there for the SHHS since you started it 10 years ago ! In all the time I have been a member, you have been there to keep the society on track.
I have been busy looking for a Guest Speaker for the last month, and just got used to using that term. I should have not used the word "Guest," but instead should have said something like "Featured Speaker."
Really looking forward to your Sri Lanka Program.

I know. I just chuckled at the "guest speaker" title. It's been a while since I've been to a show, so I really feel like a visitor. :-)

I am sorry I can not see it. Would anyone be inclined to tape the speach? I will be in Iraq for the next year so I am afraid I will miss alot going on here.

Chris, is there a possibility youd stick around a bit after your speech? if possible, id like to get a picture with you, to hang on the wall in my shop, im trying to get a picture of all my friends and big names of the reptile industry, to hang on the wall of the shop.
