I have a vision cage I'm having trouble heating it. I use a reptile light with a fixture, but it seems to melt the cage. I can smell the plastic. What kind of heating can I use

Vision has a limit of 60 watts on ceramic heaters or basking lights. You may want to try a radiant heating panel attached to the ceiling or back of the cage.

Check out www.pro-products.com They claim to have heaters that won't melt plastic surfaces and come in a variety of wattages w/ a 35 yr. warranty. (P.S. I haven't purchased this item and can't substantiate their claims)
