Im heading down to the Everglades this weekend. Ill be heading there from Melbourne. Anyone know of any good spots in particular to kayak and herp?

Aaron, you picked a pretty decent time to come down since the weather is warm this week here in South Florida. If your looking to both herp and kayak, Everglades National Park is your best bet. You can kayak down at Flamingo, which will dump you into the Mangroves on the outside of Florida Bay. It's definitely a treat to see the American Crocodiles that reside there. Though it's the tourist season now, you can still find a good amount of herps road cruising. Just last month, I found two adult Eastern Diamondbacks in ENP. You will also commonly find Burmese Pythons, Florida Cottonmouths, Kingsnakes, Corn snakes, and Water snakes on the road. Shoot me an email if you want, and I'll give you more specifics.
