Everyone here has been talked down to or all the stuff you have mentioned above before at least once. It happens and theres nothin anyone can really do to fix it. I'm not complaining about this site or any one in particular but it has happened to me before many times and a few on here as well but like i said it happens...

you have to learn to not take it personally too. does it get to me? yeah sometimes I hate it when people talk down to me and it's actually one of my biggest pet peeves but hey what can ya do?

In response to the first post....all I heard was a bunch of rant, raves, crying, etc....provide a specific incident or stop your crying! If you got your feelings hurt, be a man (or woman) and address that person one on one. This site has so many wonderful resources, experts and opportunities to network - the smart ones have figured that out. The cry babies just continue to be annoying. In this day and age of the internet everyone hides behind their computer but few know how to confront folks in a respectful manner.
There are great people on this site. The bad apples just come and go...a few just linger and rot but eventually, they decay, and, go away to find someone else to get a rise out of. In the end, the core folks who've been here to help newbies over the years will continue to do so even though I personally feel that they don't get nearly the respect they deserve.

well, i dont make a habbit of doing things like "ranting" as-a-matter-of-fact this would probibly be my first online rant,if that is what you consider it. yes, i did get a short, and less than curtious answer when i asked a question some time ago on this site,by someone who must be an all knowing reptile god of some sort or another, and all of his lesser "yes men" chimed right in praising his great wisdom, scoffing at my total stupidity and lack of knowledge. and i have seen it done to many other people on this site. that is all i am saying. i have great respect for the ones on here that answer a question to the best of their ability and leave it at that. it rarely happens. not to worry though i will not be a thorn in your side. since all you seem to want are people that are mindless zombies who will put up with the abuse your superior intelect dishes out without pointing out your faults for correction, i will not visit or post here again. and i would urge others to do the same. as someone else stated, this site is burning down.

Okay folks.
This thread continues to spiral downward.
Scott had his say and I guess his general experience here did not live up to his expectations.
I am sorry we weren't able to help you.
Have a good day and I hope the folks at those other sites you enjoy will be able to live up to your standards.
This thread is now closed.
Any further responses will be deleted no matter who they are posted by and whether or not the message is useful or not.
I thought something might be salvaged by letting this play out but clearly I was mistaken.
Anyone else wanting to post about the old know-it-all curmudgeons on this site will just have to be satisfied by searching through the several that are still on the boards.
