I read that pigmy rattlers were very ill temperd. I was wondering if this was true because my mother used to own a pigmy that my dad cought and she said that i used to hold it all the time when i was 6. Does it matter on the snake. do they have different behaviors?

All snakes are subject to different temperaments, even within the same species. So are parents. Your question is valid, but may be focused on the wrong species.

i bought one 6 months ago and when i got him out of the crate, i was extremely surprised at how pissed off this little snake was. it has since calmed down alot
but i still get a little nervous when i have to do cage
maintenance. these little snakes will bite you if you let them.

Generally they are in a foul mood all of the time, especially duskies. I have one who will crawl to the front of the cage just to take a shot at you. The only reason I am not big on them as first hots is due to there very irritable dispositions and the fact that trying to hook a pig is like trying to hold a spagetti noodle with one chopstick, its just not the easiest thing to do. In general I would say the majority of pigs I come across are much more hostile than other native hots.
