OK, Rush needs to be re-educated and if that doesn’t work, he needs to get boycotted by pro animal welfare community

Rush Limbaugh Records Audio Spots for The HSUS

Rush Limbaugh has recorded two statements of support for The Humane Society of the United States and its work to protect animals from cruelty and abuse: The first spot is on our partnerships with law enforcement agencies across the country to crack down on organized dogfighting and other animal cruelty crimes.
The second is on our outreach to communities of faith, and the moral obligation that we have to be good stewards of God's creatures.
The HSUS welcomes such vigorous statements of support from Americans of all points of view, and is grateful to Rush Limbaugh for reaching out to his audience with a message of kindness and compassion for animals. Like two-thirds of American households, Rush shares his home with a beloved pet – his cat, Pumpkin.
The HSUS is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to making ours a kinder world for animals. Among our 11 million supporters – one in every 28 Americans – are Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

Chance, there is always exception to the rule, like my own Republican federal senator Ensign. Rush has a chance of being re-educated, Ensign is a lost cause, Ensign knows who HSU$ is but keeps tight with them. Rush is like old lady donating to them, misinformed on their true agenda.
However no republicans is supporting HR669, all are democrats behind it so far. It is not just our right/freedom to own any pets, it is also killing the economy. Get real, stop being like an ambush predator here waiting for any chance (no pun intended) to jump my Libertarian/Republican rear end.

Ambush predator? I'll take that as a compliment.
Sometimes I just can't resist, and this was one of those times. Rush is a blow hard anyway who thinks he has some kind real political power to shape this country's future. That the R's give him any credence is...well, a bit misguided.
I know that Democrats are mostly behind HR669 and I think it's a shame. It's certainly something about which I will dissent. At the same time I don't think it stands a snowball's chance in hell to actually pass, but we'll see. I've been doing my part to try to stop it. I think if any rational human being, regardless of political affiliation, sat down and considered what a strict enforcement of something like that would do, it wouldn't even be a consideration.

I normally stay away from this kind of discussion, but i cant with this one.
I am a conservative minded person, and i do believe people can change. But, it seems to me some people never will. This being said, and not using any names, i will tell you all that some members of this Site do not know how to put aside their "POLITICAL AGENDAS" and join with their fellow Reptile Lovers to fight this tide of Bans. If you cant see beyond the door of POLITICS and join the fight without getting into a "BASH FEST" over who's RIGHT or WRONG within your own Community. You need to stay out of it, because it is called Immaturity, and as we all know this and Venomous Reptile Keeping dose not mix.
