I want you all to watch this youngsters Video / Videos and tell me what you think.

Recently or beloved Cro (John Zegel) sent this fellow a hook as a good gesture, and now it seems he is still doing things that put him in the direct line of fire. I tried to give him advice, but instead of taking it, he deletes my post. In my post to him, i told him in a very nice way to keep the hook pointed downward at a slight angel, or at least level. Avoiding a thrashing snake from riding down the hook onto hes hand. This is great advice for anyone, wouldn't you think?
It is disturbing to me, that this could be the future of Venomous Herping and probably the death of it.

I can not get the video to play.Utube is like tv do not watch and you wont see.This topic has been visited here a number of times .The change is up to the individual.

I think one of the biggest issues is that he gets such high ratings on his videos, and very positive comments (albeit many seem to be from non-herpers who are shocked that ANYONE likes that snake, much less a younger guy like that). It's much easier for him to look at all of that acclaim, and ignore any criticism. Not to mention his age - at that age, kids don't want adults butting in to bring them back to reality. He is a star in his own world, impune, and from what I understand he also has quite a following on another forum (mostly younger kids, like himself). I can only hope that, with time, he will come to see that he makes mistakes, like everyone else, and that it isn't a bad thing to take advice. I am just afraid of what he might be teaching other kids in the meantime.

Just goes to show that you can't give just anyone a snake hook.
I had a guy buy one from me the other day only to ask me "So, how do you use this thing?" I tried to explain it to him as good as I could, but then I just told him that it would take a lot of watching someone who knows what they're doing before safely doing it yourself.
