I will be doing some work @ the University of Nebraska (lincoln) next week. I should have some time off in the evenings...does anybody know of any good herping spots or good 'Husker' faculty to chat with? I was also wondering if the Zoo was any good.

Since nobody has ever been to Lincoln (or at least is not willing to admit it)-I had a horrible time for herps. The zoo had a chameleon, Green Tree Python, and a mislabeled hognose. I did make it out to the prairie, but I didn't find anything too exciting. I was hoping for one or two rattlesnakes, but all I got was some (invasive) bullfrogs, cricket frogs, chorus frogs, and that was about it. Not a good week for herps:-(

Sorry for your misfortune.
I have never been to Nebraska.
Better luck next time.
I, also, have heard good things about the Henry Doorly Zoo.
