Anyone know of good articles on/conservationists dealing in the snake trade in this region? I'm traveling come December to see some Naga imagery, discover what I can about the vast market for snakes (as aphrodisiac, as foodstuff, etc.) in China. Any leads would be appreciated...

Not sure if any group is per se (working with the overall snake trade).
However, the Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) has been active in the area for a while dealing with the Asain Turtle Crisis.

Thanks for this! --a great lead that's already got me a response from up by lake Tonle Sap which is--so I'm quickly learning--a real flashpoint/case study in snake populations and the (tenuous) broader ecology. (As for turtles, I don't imagine I'll be lucky enough to see one of those giant softshells in the Mekong, but I can always dream...) Thanks again, Adam
