How big do Black necked spitters usually get in captivity?Ive heard 9ft.Just need to know from someone with experience with them.

Naja nigricollis is certainly one of the larger cobra species. We did have a huge specimen in our collection and I guess it was a good 6-7 foot though I never actually measured it. We have one at the moment that is rapidly growing that must be 5-6 foot.
I personally tend to under estimate the size of snakes due to the fact that I have seen so many snakes that are supposed to be a certain size, when it fact they are much smaller.

The parents of my little girl were at or over the 7ft mark! Also, Ive heard of a few brown or kaki phased nigiricollis which were well over 8! Id say 6 ft is a given and 7ft wouldnt be put the question for a normal adult size(under captive situations).
