keeping snakes is kind of expensive when you start keeping large numbers....breeding your own rodents helps....space+cages+heating+feed+bedding+water+time= money....leave out the low budget for more responses...how many snakes would be needed to be considered farming...and would this strictly be a breeding and selling the captive born babies or are you wanting to sell wild caught animals......i don't know that there is more of a need for importers of wild caught animals in this country at this time....true captive born locality specific animals would definately be more desirable to the reptile keepers market....Europe is really into locality specific animals also...and captive born animals are less stressed and are less likely to have parasites...
you will need to give more details as to what you mean by "farm".....i don't know that there are more than a handful of breeders that could truely be considered snake farmers in the whole U.S....i produce between 100 and 200 babies a year, but definately don't consider myself a snake farmer...lol........

Get two snakes, it would be in your best interest to get one male and one female, then put them in an enclosure, and let nature take its course. It couldn't hurt to try and teach them a little about agriculture and some mechanics. It will take quite a while to establish a farm but I think with the right attitude and perseverance you can do it.
