David Weathers huh? Doesn't this guy free handle and or handle these snakes in irresponsible ways and made a name for himself by doing so?
I only recently heard of this guy when I visited Deland Discovery Center and saw him, I looked him up online but really don't know much about him... Those points just stood out to me watching 1 or 2 of his videos.
As I said I don't know him or what he is about, anyone care to fill me in?

David is a Good guy I have met him a few times. He seems to really have a natural instinct when it comes to free handling cobras. I think his rattlesnake work is more dangerous. Not that I condone free handling at all but it is what he does for a living. I actually find it funny because many who trash talk his work on the internet forums. Seem to want to be his friend in person. As long as people (KIDS) understand that what he is doing is inherently dangerous. I don't see a problem with it other than the TV glorification. I think most here would actually enjoy a good conversation with him, he has a real nice collection and produces some super animals.
Just my .02

People can't seem to understand that in the animal show business, it's all about the ratings. That's what sells and thats how you get paid. If your ratings suck, you'll be out of business. Dave is a heck of a herper and an even better friend. His collection is first class and he produces some fantastic animals.

Ok, forget I asked... I really didn't know much about this guy. When I looked him up I read he was on Jackass, never watched it! Not my thing! I just made the above comment out of observation from the little info I saw.
I don't want to accidently start another heated topic like I did some how with a kid trying to kill himself with Venom because I searched SI information and found that article. I can see this comment raging further. Let's just put it out now.
Granted this things are great conversations but... maybe when all the guns and knives are put away!
Look forward to meeting him, thanks Cathy...
