This is not a question, but an FYI. I'm not sure how many of you are aware of this, but the Florida house just passed a bill to raise the VR license fee from $5.00 to $100.00 a year. Attached is a web address of an article describing the details.

That's reasonable .... $500.00 would be reasonable ... and soon we'll all be wishing we could buy one at any price.
Many places will never allow venomous animals to be kept again legally, so paying a few bucks to do now while we some of us still can is nothing. Hell, $100.00, that's the price of almost any baby reptile now. So figure on producing one more of whatever it is you're breeding to pay for the permit.
I WISH I could buy a permit where I am for $1,000. a year to do what I'm doing legally.

Where are you from? A hundred bucks/ Hell, Indiana allows any species, NO LICENSE!! if you don't mind being in the middle of corn fields.... five bucks sounds better for an ANNUAL permit, for $200, you'd think that it'd be for the lifetime of that animal, or for a longer time period than one year....

uh, I f'ed up. not $200, I meant $100....plus, I've found Eastern Diamondbacks for less than that, cottonmouths, for 30....dunnno what species you're into, but i haven't seen many species going for 100, unless you're selling them yourself, WHICH, by the way, is against FL law to do, you need a license to sell Reptiles here too....odd that the state which has most likely the highest amount of (BOTH native and imported!) reptiles is the oddest in regards to their laws concerning them...
