Every single herp was found while road cruising that weekend. They were brought back to camp, and everyone got a chance to take photos. No one kept anything, they were all released....except for Chris' tent mate. It was released too, but after biting Chris, Chad, Chance and me, we all suspected it would die....

Actually, not every herp was found while road cruising.
The Boss and I were walking through some scrub when we found our Eastern Coachwhip. However, almost everything was found on or near the road. I am not sure but I don't think that the Scarlet Kings were on the roads either. I didn't find any of those, so I am not sure.
Most everyone that I have talked to that visits the Appalachicola finds whatever they find on the roads.

I wasn't around when the Scarlet Kings were caught and I left Sunday.....Some of the herps were caught after I left. forgot about your coachwhip. Guess my info was wrong....at least a little.

Hi Grey. We camped at Camel Lake. It's about 10-15 miles south of Bristol on hwy 12. It was right in the northwest corner of Apalachicola NF. Some, including Chris, herped all over the forest but I stayed in the western half.
