I'll bite. The forum has been a little stagnant as we are all busy gearing up for the season.
There are always some interesting breeding plans and conservation programs ramping up at this time of year. I'd be interested in reading what others are up to this season, be it personal or professional your place or workplace. What say ye?

We're moving most of the zoo to a more central location closer to a main highway.
Alas, the majority of the reptile collection will have to remain at the old location and off display to the public until we have the finances to build a climate-controlled and escape/break-in proofed house for them, which probably won't be until next season at least.
I have added a new addition to my exotics family - an 8 yr old female Siberian Lynx. I'm not normally into anything furry but this was too good to pass up! She'll be at the zoo during the open season and with me for the winters.

Boiga dendrophila melanota, Boiga nigriceps, Boiga drapiezii, Agrikistrodon contortrix c., Sistrurus miliarus m., Sistrurus miliarus barbouroni, Crotalus horridius (canes & timbers), Urocoan Rattlesnakes, Crypteletrops albolabris, Carpet python, Cornsnake, Gonyosoma oxycephala, Mandarin Ratsnake, Everglades Ratsnake, Pueblan milksnake, Eastern Milksnake, Bearded dragon, blue tongue skink, E. box turtle, Giant hissing cockroach, Discoid Roach, Dubia Roach, White spotted bamboo shark
I think I got it all... and excuse the mix of Latin and common names. I'm feeling a little lazy today.

I am hoping to acquire an additional female B. schlegelii and produce in the next 12-24 months. I also have a very nice looking pair of Morelia spilota chenyei which could reproduce in that same time frame.

I'm hoping maybe in the next year my black mambas, texas indigos, and possibly forest cobras will breed. My banded snouted cobras have been breeding up a storm lately but I think I'm going to separate them as there seems to be a surplus of them lately and I don't want to get stuck with a bunch of babies.

I'm starting to get requests for advanced snakebite classes for medical personnel. I usually teach these on request from Spring through Summer.

Our nature center is hopping this spring. Professionally, I'm wrapping up a 35 site intensive herpetological survey around Chicago; perhaps the largest of its kind in this region. Will then be starting an intensive herp survey on a rare oak savanna/prairie near our nature center. During that same time, I have taken on a graduate student from Loyola University working on his Master's Thesis. He's studying the relationships between hibernacula and movement patterns in the Eastern Garter Snake. We've had a sucky spring but have quite a few pit tagged animals which is great. We're hoping for baby willardi this year and have 28 panther chameleon eggs cooking (anyone want one?). Personally, I hope to produce Eastern Indigos. With two very athletic daugthers competing at the elite level in USA Track and Field, I am holding back on a few big projects.

I have been working on a book for the past four years, and I hope to have it done by the end of this year. Also, I am working on a GIS survey of Georgia's denning Horridus.
