They are really tough to get started. One being that they might have come from a very healthy mother and just don't need the meals right now. Some juvy coppers have gone 4 months before eating for me..

Don't be afraid to throw live hoppers in with them. They are big meals, but I have had newborns turn down everything else but end up taking these. Sometimes the adult-like movement of hoppers is something they can't resist. Good luck.

Listen to Chuck, he is right. Cicaidas are also a good idea. Also, you can try putting rosie reds or shiners in a shallow plastic dish, fill with enought water for the fish to move around and that seems to work for alot of neonates. But again, Chuck is right. Most of my aggies start on hoppers and move quickly to mice. Good luck,
Jared

Hi. I may have overlooked it, but how long have you had them? How long have you been trying to get them to eat?

You may also consider giving them their own quarters, including a tight hiding space. Give them a couple days to relax, then try some of the feeding suggestions offered here.

On a related note, I am currently ecstatic about the fact that a tiny neonate Ovophis okinavensis that came into my care a few months ago has finally started eating - small fish. It refused pinks every which way - live, heated, brained, scrambled, scattered, smothered.... Loves fish though. Of course, I guess all Japanese do.
