I've read so much on the two but it seems that the Cantil's venom is very underated yet everything I read suggests it kills very quickly even with AV. For the ones out there who have studied venom, what do you think is more toxic to humans, Bothops Asper {atrox} or Cantil?

In general..? As in the severity if you are bitten..? Bothrops asper, I would have to say.
Although, I too think that Agkistrodon bilineatus is underrated in many cases, in terms of toxicity. I have heard them compared to copperheads and cottonmouths, by some. A Cantil bite is almost always much more severe than a copperhead or cotton bite.
But, I think that the "dead is dead" rule kind of applies here, as both are relatively hot snakes, and not a bite to take lightly. Plus, every bite is different, in terms of how much venom is injected, where the bite is on the body, and the individual’s reaction to the bite.
Take Care,

Venom toxicity between Asper and the Cantil are very close, almost to close to tell, but I would give the edge to the Cantil. The Asper can deliver almost three times the quanity. Keep in mind these scales can sway depending on what the prey is. Also as to the Atrox this is not the same as Asper ,Atrox has a more powerful venom than either the Cantil or the Asper. In the Northern part of the Atroxs range it will intergrade with the Asper,at this point the toxcity of the venom could vary quite a bit. The bottom line is use extreme caution when working with any of these. Take care Chris
