The Miami / Dade Venom 1 team donates expired antivenom to veterinarians.
"Although the program began with human lives in mind, it quickly forayed into animal ones as well. It's the Antivenin Program that donates expired antivenin to local veterinary hospitals. And according to Cruz, pets are often the ones to get themselves into some precarious situations, dogs especially."

There are other veterinarians in small towns who have made contact with the local hospitals, and set up the same sort of programs.
