I have searched "Shift Boxes" on the site and found some old threads with limited information. Could I get some of you guys who use them to email some pictures of your shift boxes to madshark@sbcglobal.net. Specifically, I am interested in how you set the door up to operate by use of a hook. Thank you in advance for any help.

I just have mine set up pretty simple. Two hinges on one side of the door and a little slide latch on the front of it. I reach in with a hook, close and hold the door shut, and then reach in and slide the latch shut. They're pretty easy/cheap to make and have worked well for me. Here's a picture of one of them:

I like that set up with the swing shut door Jamie. I've built some with slide doors, and quit using them because junk kept getting stuck in the track, rendering them useless, much like the cages I quit using for the same reason. Take care, Marty
