It include ALL species of boas and pythons. The folks up there in Illinois need to jump all over this. Maybe get USARK involved if they aren't already.

USARK is not playing a role in what happens in Illinois. I've been working closely with the IDNR to come up with wording in the ammended bill that will protect hobbyists, not punish them. There's much more than meets the eye but the bottom line is that Illinois is going to be a model of how to do things right. If folks want the specifics, they can contact the IDNR and they are more than happy to talk to anyone with concerns or questions.

I hope your right, it would be the 1st time Illinois did something right. I was just reporting about a group email that I received from USARK. Maybe someone should tell them. Take care, Marty

I personally think Illinois does a lot of things right...forest preserve districts, Chicago Wilderness, solid conservation organizations, etc. If you are alluding to politics, yeah, not good:-). The IDNR has a good handle on the situation and we're working through the issues in house w/out needing outside entities to come in and muddy up the waters. I think USARK does GREAT work and I support them but they are not the end all solution.

Yes, I was referring to politics. I haven't had much exposure to IDNR. I shouldn't lump them together. Take care, Marty
