So in order to graduate I need to write a research paper, my topic is venom and its effect on the human body. I was wondering if anyone out there has a personal experience with getting bit that they would be willing to share with me. I would like to have a personal experience included in my paper. You would be listed as a source, but if you wish to remain anonymous that is alright too. As much information as possible would be wonderful. Thanks. -Callie Tebay

If you look on the home page for this website and look under the "Articles" heading on the right, there are at least 2 or more very well written accounts of bites. That would be an excellent place to start. Good luck!

If you aren't just writing about snakes in particular, there are also numerous first hand reports of invertebrate envenomations at Archnoboards.com

I doubt anyone would give a personal account,as you have not taken the simple amount of time to fill in a profile.I disagree about a bite being personal ..Yes most will hide the fact if given the chance as to not look stupid!!In truth tho, something can be learned from every bite account.I have had a few bites and could care less who knows.Every bite was my fault and if you keep herps and are bit it will be your fault as well.If you hide the facts about your bite you do a disservice to us all. What is learned from my bites may save someones life some day,as with any bites anyone may receive. Some people will want to hold the status quo and never tell the truth to anyone.Ego is hard to break and we are a lot of big headed individuals ..Snake bites are a serious threat to us all so remember eat your wheeties and stay safe..

I was but by a snake. I think was a rattle snake. luckily I was 5 min away from the hospital. I remember my arm feeling numb at first. After the hospital treated me I was fine! It was not that bad. I live in Florida.
