legless lizard?

Hello everyone! it has been a long time since I have been on here. I have a question about a legless lizard i just caught 20 minutes ago. its about three and a half feet long,tan colored with red spots here and there. caught in Bonsal,Ca which is San Diego county. I do not have pictures at the moment but will upload asap. all i have found on the internet that closely resembles what i have is a Russian Legless lizard/european legless lizard. could this be someones pet or some kind of california legless lizard of some species? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely way too large for Anniella pulchra.... so it could well be an escaped pet. I recently caught a tokay gecko in eastern NC, and one of my neighbors found a ball python at their house.
