Welcome to Venom 101
LOL Ok... For the record I do find this question amusing becuase there are sooooooo many different ways to answer this question. Normally I avoid these posts about the most dangerous, the longest, the fastest and other objective things. This question can be based on one of several misleading answeres. If you have read the answer in a guinnes book, forget about it. I have no clue where they get their answers, they change it almost every year. This leads me to believe they simply go by highest numbers of confirmed deaths by a particular species that specific year. You may also measure by largest ammount of venom injected per bite, or the most people killed by a particular species of a given period of time. This also leads some people to believe that certain species are the most dangerous, most toxic, and so on.
However, the general rule for measuring most toxic venoms are measured by LD50. If you are curious about what that means, google it. According to the list of snake venoms that have been tested using the subcutaneous method (all of them to the best of my knowledge) the Inland Taipan or Oxyuranus Microlepidotus for thoes who enjoy the lovely latin names myself included.
This link will bring you to the site of Dr. Bryan Fry one of the world leaders in venom research.
http://www.venomdoc.com/LD50/LD50men.html
After reading this page you may then select the form of injection to figure out the most lethal species in your preferred method of injection depth. If you dont find an answer there all hope for you has been lost ;)
And for the record if your thing about aquiring one of these worlds most dangerous creature I believe you should reconsider. Its been said before and Ill say it again although I will say I wasnt the first to state it. Venomous snakes have a funny way of weeding out the keepers not prepared to to handle them. till next time...
Stay safe guys, Eric Vanerka

This is always a "funny" question because it is so ambiguous. Most venomous terrestial snake, as in LD50, is the Inland Taipan. Most venomous sea snake, Belcher's Sea Snake. Most venomous snake, as in most deaths world wide, probably the Russel's Viper. Again I second the motion to say the most venomous snake in the world is the one that just bit you, very true statement.
