Hey Gang,
My daughter's track coach at University of Memphis is interested in adopting a few surplus herps from my nature center (ball python, corn snake, fox snake, crested gecko and a 3-toed box turtle). I'm trying to find out what restrictions there are. I've done some searching and find a lot of conflicting information including a 2004 ruling that bans all turltes to be kept as pets in TN...please tell me that isn't valid. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

"Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies" book "STATE OF THE UNION: Legal Authority Over the Use of Native Amphibians and Reptiles in the United States"
This is the most current resource I have (short of making many phone calls) and was printed in November 2011.
It stated that turtles are not allowed to be imported or even kept as pets in Tennessee.
