I am interested to know if anyone out there still produces a Transfer or Shift Box that can double as a hide? A friend of mine has one and I very much like the concept but have as of yet been unable to track down a current maker of them. I have some Large C. basiliscus and comparably sized animals that I would like to see about a set of these for. Hope someone here may be able to help!

Yes. BoaMaster makes them. Google them or look on kingsnake classifieds. They advertise there. If not I can help you out. I make my own. And can make them.

I made my own out of 1/4" acrylic. I blacked out all sides except for the bottom and door (sliding). I can close & hold the door with a hook and either place a lock or zip tie to keep it closed
It works but I wouldn't mind figuring out a better way to have it close & lock.

I keep mambas. I have been making a transfer/hide box that hooks on the OUTSIDE of my cages. Both the cage and hides have doors so that the box can be secured and removed from the cages in order to place pairs together contact free. With the sheer speed, agility and constant alertness of mambas, a hide/transfer box INSIDE a mamba cage is not the safe measure that it should be. I haven't really considered making these for sale because they are expensive for me to make due to the way I buy plastic a single sheet at a time and the locks I use.
