Just wondering what others have as a snake room. I am currently using a 12x16 room I built in my garage. But that is quickly becoming inadequate for adding more specimens safely. Mainly because I have the OCD quality of wanting my snakes in vision or neodesha cages rather than racks. Which doesn't lend a helping hand to space saving.

Have you ever checked out Showcase cages? I have Vision also, but I have a Showcase cage that I have used for several years now and I really like it. They are expensive comparatively and have some safety considerations in terms of ledges and corners around the opening snakes can hide in, but most cages have some of those. They stack and hold up well. I think price is one of their major drawbacks. Not sure if they would help you out, but just thought I would share. Best of luck.

Yes mine is around 12x12. Depending on the size of the room, depends on the Hots you can keep. I would not want a giant black mamba or forest cobra in a 12x12 room. I once had a 7ft Jackson's tree snake give me a run for my money in my snake room. All I could think is thank God it's not a Mamba!

My snake building is 25x25 with neos, visions, and racks.
12' King Cobras was pushing it.

My outbuilding started as 12 x 20, and a year later I doubled it so now its 24 x 20. The 2nd side I made 2 rooms, one 12 x 12 and one 8 x 12. The 8 x 12 is my rodent room. I ran water to it with a small water heater, and it has heat and A/C. Take care, Marty
