Hi, I'm new here and I really have a passion for snakes. I've kept many non-venomous snakes colubrids, large boas, different types of pythons like a ball pythons up to reticulated pythons. I would really love to now get into venomous species because they are abosulely gorgeous. There are no laws in my area against any species. Also I don't want to just jump into this I know there is still a lot more resaerch I need to do but I would just like some one on one tips of venomous snake owning. Another thing is what would be a so called "Good" venmous snake to start with. I know there isn't any exactly good venomous snakes since most do have the potential to kill me, I have heard copper heads are decent though I'd really like a gaboon viper, but that probably would require more expirence. Thank you for your time. (:

First off please fill in your profile. Next, the best advice I could give you would be that you acquire a mentor that can teach you the techniques that comes with working with these gorgeous animals. On this site and within the venomous community everyone has a different opinion, but this would be in my opinion the safest way to start out.

Hopefully somebody will be able to help mentor you. Also if you are under 18 there is a huge liability. These type of snakes are not to be underestimated. They will and can kill you if you make a mistake. So please be safe.
