Hi any HOT enthusiasts located in Ohio? Or anyone in general that has applied for the FDA 1571 form to import foreign antivenin?

I believe pretty much everything is illegal to keep these days in Ohio, besides kittens, puppies, and parakeets, and the permits are impossible to get. I could be wrong though. But I seem to remember some strict laws being passed after that incident where the guy released all of his animals and then killed himself. Yep, I just Googled this. http://melissaasmith.hubpages.com/hub/ohiopetban Take care, Marty

Actually the only tricky part is you have to have own access to antivenin. The permit from Ohio is 150.00 liability insurance for 100k is 140.00 a year. 888 dangerous animals have been registered in Ohio all ready.

I sure hope if any ban comes down the pipe in SC, some sort of permit system such as this is implemented.
