Hey everyone,
Does anyone out there have any tips when it comes to breeding Waglers Temple Viper (Tropidolaemus wagleri)? It seems that this species is not often available as CB in captivity and I wonder if this means that it is particularly challenging to reproduce. I know that males are hard to come by but I have a pair. The male is a little young now but he should be ready to go in a few months time.
So any info regarding gestation periods, number of offspring, care of offspring (if any different from other tree vipers) will be appreciated. My greatest worry is that the female will be able to make very short work of the little male. What can I do to avoid this happening?
Thanks for any help
Ian

I'm affraid I have no experience breeding wagleri, but I do have a single female about 3 years old. I would love to share information on their husbandry. As you said they are not the most commonly kept snake out there and it's always nice to get another point of view. Feel free to email me at corovamilkbar@hotmail.com Best of luck!
