Is there anyone currently working with and breeding king browns. This are very interesting to me and I would love to learn more about their husbandry and I trust the recommendations I get here. Thanks all.

Hmm, seems like I replied to this and it didn't make it in. Oh well. Let me see if I can remember what all I put in the first one....
Not many people in the US are working with Australian/PNG elapids. Of those that are, death adders are the most common. Occasionally you see some of the big importers, Glades, ERJ, etc, get in Papuan taipans, king browns, and eastern browns. The browns seem to be rare, and I think I've only seen them for sale 3 or 4 times in the past two years. Chad Bachman and Randy Ciuros (venomstreet.com) both were able to produce clutches of eastern browns, but I don't believe any of the babies of either clutch did very well. I know Randy's were born too small to take any significant food, and were too small even to pinkie pump. Robbie at Crocafeller was fortunate enough to produce cbb Papuan taipans this past season, and I acquired 1.1 of those babies. He's hoping to produce them again this coming season. I know Randy has one adult king brown but no mate with it. I just hope some more are brought in and paired with existing, acclimated specimens so maybe more will be produced. Randy is hopeful that his female eastern brown is a bit larger and will produce larger babies with more of a chance of surviving. Let's all hope so, as the more of these animals produce in captivity there are, the fewer there will be removed from the wild. Anyway, that's my thoughts on the subject. Good luck in finding what you seek!
