I was thinking of adding a veiled chameleon to my herp collection. Anyone have any tips or advice. They would be very appreciated.

veild chams are the easyest of all the chams to keep
i keep mine in large mesh vivs
they need a ambiant heat of 75-80F with a hot spot of 85F.
if you are only planning on keeping one get a male as the females will produce eggs regardless and oftern get egg bound if not fertilised
i use planted set-ups with great effect, just becarefull on what plants you use as they will eat the leaves, ficus are ideal.
they will eat most of the usual insect prey especialy fond of locusts

I have a new baby veiled and just now found a silverfish in it's cage and was wondering if i should remove it. Is it poisenous to my chame or will it infest the wood in the cage or what? Any suggestions would be good

I am not sure, but I have a question for you. If your veiled arrived healthy, do you mine telling me where you got it from.

I got my veiled from UNDERGROUND REPLTILES in deerfield beach forida on hillsboro and powerline. They also ship they have good prices as well and thir veiled are super healthy mine is doin great.
