Just wanted to share the last few days of herping here in west TX. Between 3-26 and 3-27 my wife and went out and found 8 Atroxs, 1 Lepidus (mottled), 2 TX Corals, 1 emory's rat, 1 flatheaded snake, 2 Ground snakes, 1 Coachwhip, 6 earless lizards, 4 skinks, and 1 Mexican milk, I hope that this is an indication for the rest of the season. Herping north texas

Hey everyone. It seems all of Texas is getting a good start on herping this year, with a mild wet winter and an early wet spring. Past 2 weeks have yielded the following in north tx. crosstimbers:
1 western coachwhip, 3 emorys rats, 13 atrox, 3 texas rats; 1 western cottonmouth; 3 broadbanded coppers; 1 eastern hognosed snake. Hope everyone is doing as well as I am. Thanks for reading and good luck out there.

Went to the Mojave for a few days. 3 panamints, 1 sidewinder, 2 mojave greens, 1 coachwhip, 2 desert tortoises (did not touch), countless desert iguanas and chuckwallas, fringe toes, leopard lizards, zebra tailed lizards, horned lizards.
