I got my first hot yesterday. She is a bountifully patterned southern copperhead (Agkistrodon contortrix contortrix) .
I was out field herping and found my new copperhead under a pice of tin. I will try to feed her today, ill also post pics later.

Man, congratulations, that's a very nice snake. I'm "PhilodryasFAN" on kingsnake boards. I wrote to you.
I hope you enjoy the snake.

Congrats Randy,
That looks like a beauty of a copperhead. Good Luck with it. Remember to keep safe and always ask any questions you may have about your newly acquired specimen. There is a great article about the care of that species in the right column of our site down towards the bottom.
