Im going to Palm Springs in November, and just wondered if anyone familiar with the area had any suggestions of good spots in, or around P.S. to find rattlers. I assume their are So. Pacific, and Mojaves but what other species are present there? Thanks

I do not know too much about the Palm Springs area. I do know that on the other side of the mountains, in Hemet, you might be able to find some red diamondbacks. I have personally run into a few of them there. The last one I saw was in a wildlife reserve close to Perris lake. I would suggest going up towards Idywild from the Palm Springs side. My uncle used to find large rattlers there all the time. I think the area was called Popip Flats. Good luck.
BS.
