Since we are not wanted to discuss details of our faith in a certain previous thread, I'd like to start this thread for the purpose or sharing testimonies of those that are born again. I'd love to here others testimonies of how they got saved! This thread is open to questions or comments from the athiests or non-believers because that is who I want most to read it. Thanks

Hey Jarrod,
I am a Christian but my opinion is that this isn't the forum or site to have testimonies. Chris Harper and team, along with many of the members (myself included) pay our dues to SHHS to have a website and society like this. It would become even more expensive for them if they let a lot of non-venomous reptile conversations clutter the forums. It would also become less appealing to members and fewer venomous reptile enthusiasts would get on to communicate with one another.
Maybe I am wrong but that is obviously up to Karl and others to decide.

hey all I think this is a great thread as keepers of venomous reptiles we have to think of the possability of being bitten and not surviving. where do you want to stand with the lord when your being judged, as a believer or a non believer, those that claim to be atheist have never opened there hearts, when i got saved at the age of 15yo that feeling was one of the most incredible feelings i have ever felt it was like i could feel the lord reach inside me a pull all the bad that was bothering me after feeling that I was hooked now dont get me wrong I dont faithfuly go to church but when i do it puts me in a place of peace, but when I whitnessed my baby girl and boy being born it makes me think how could anybody not believe. Please any one that doent believe or is not sure talk to some one or get a bible and read John 3:16 The lord loves you dont push him out but let him in and you will feel more love and peace than ever before.
p.s I really hope this thread stays in this day in time we need to come together the devil wants threads like this to be taken off yes some may take offence but its like this country, we didnt get to become the most powerfull nation by being afraid to offend other people, but were this nation will fail is by pushing away the lord because people are afraid to hurt someones feelings.

Can we please dispense with all the religious threads. If you're a Christian, a Budist, or an Athiest, I don't care. I don't come to this site to recieve spiritual guidance or to read arguments about the validity of God. There are a great multitude of websites for those type of conversation, this is not one of them. This site is a science based site. Science is absolute, religion is not, not even among Christians. Threads about religion will only cause discontent. If you need some religious affirmation or feel the need to bear your testimony, go somewhere else.

Well, this is kind of related. Although not born again per se, I did refinance my house once and the "finance again" was the best thing I ever did. I was actually on my way out to buy a Vette, in a moment of insanity, and it dawned on me that I could pay off debts instead of creating more. So I refinanced my house, bought a big screen TV and started to watch Steve Irwin. That led to herpes and the rest is history. I am a believer and don't care what others think. Refinancing really changed my life, after giving my life's savings to the bank.

Do we really need to turn this site into a religious chat room?..I was born and raised in a Christian home..I am not however a Christian now..But respect all others to follow the path that brings them peace..But this site really should not be used for this..I mean ther are tons of other sites out ther for just such philosophical-religious discussions...Just my opinion..no offense intended

The threads are very well labled and if you don't want to read a thread with testimonies the only logical thing to do is not click on it. If you go to venomousreptiles.com I believe it has a bible verse of the day (or something like that) and a link to this site. That rules out the statement that was made about this being a souly science-based website. Doesn't it?

Well personally I get on the computer every night and enteract with the people here, in a way I feel close to my herp friends here and the things I say are true I care about all of you in a way this is another way to meet, greet, and be apart of something great I hear all the time that we as herpers need to come together and fight for the right to keep reptiles and if we cant even talk about religion without people getting mad than how can we come together to fight for our rights, look if you dont like whats being said than dont read but if you do read keep an open mind and read, if you dont agree than thats fine, but to get mad at this thread then there is some thing wrong, why get so mad in my opinion that is a sign that there is something wrong in your life and that is even more the reason to turn to God , I will promise you this if you turn to the lord he will carry you through the thick and the thin.
If you want to leave this organization because we talk about religion well leave do what you want.
p.s Thank you Karl and shhs for allowing this thread to stay alive.
