We've published quite a bit lately about the evolution of venom in snakes. I"ve uploaded the papers to the publications section of my webpage www.venomdoc.com

thank you bryan the web site you told me about had a great amount of imformation and a very quik response from you which was great , your web site was very interesting i don t know why i have nt come across it before. snake evalution really interests me there s little we know about such as the evalution of cobra s. they seemed to have first appeard in the lower miocene with a snake called paleonaja romani and naja antiqua these was from europe and africa . solenoglyphous snakes also appeard in the lower miocene of europe , even rattle snakes have a fossil record , rattle snake fans might of heard of crotalus giganteus . with the apperance of venomous snakes according to the fossil record they have nt changed much with bone structure and the type of fangs . thanks bryan for your responce your just the type of person i would like to talk to face to face . No worries. ;-) Glad to help out. The evolution of venom in snakes is something truly amazing in the natural world. All off the conventions have been thrown into a pressure cooker and something special has emerged. Absolutely fascinating.
Cheers
