I would think that the oldest out of a cobra and viper is the cobra, because it has a more primitive venom delivary system (Fixed fangs) were as vipers evolved the hing-fang apparatus later. Rear fangs are also an evolution.

martyn, bush_viper17 is right . about 36 million years ago colubrids started to become more comman before that boids were the dominent snakes on earth.15 million years ago they developed enlarged teath at the back of the maxillary bone and a duvernoys gland. a more specailized and more well developed group of snakes with fixed fangs the cobras then apeared. fossilzed cobras have been found from the lower miocene epoch with the fangs still preserved . solenoglythids snakes the vipers appeared shortly after and again with a more well developed killing apparatus (fangs that are mounted on a rotatable maxillary bone and fold up against the roof of the mouth).so in answear to your question rear fanged colubrids are older the cobras and vipers .
READ THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PALEOHERPETOLOGY SNAKES .
THIS WILL ANSWEAR YOUR QUESTIONS.
