I Was just wondering if anyone has studied the effects of or has had problems with the following. I notice that a lot of people when they want to examine the fangs use a probe. Have their been any reported problems with this practice in regards to using the probe afterwards for it's intended purpose. Well just thought I would pose the question.

The question has to do with people using sexing probes to look at the fangs of venomous snakes and then using them to sexs snakes with and if there has ever been a problem with irritation or necrotic tissue if say the probe wasn't cleaned properly

Gotcha. That's not a good idea for two reasons. No 1, the mouth can a haven for different genera of bacterica, which for obvious reasons, isn't good. No 2, why take the chance of maybe getting some venom transferred. It's easy to use sterile equipment and safer. Good Q, Tim
