Hi all
Looking for information regarding certain monocled cobra morph genetics. Particularly those of the sunset and Suphan traits
For starters; I've heard differences being made between the Sunset gene and the Sunset Albino - i was under the impression that they were the same? If they are not the same then I want to know the gene relationship between sunset and albino (co-dominant and recessive respectively yes?) thus if i breed a sunset albino to a homo for albino female i should get sunsets again?
And then Suphans; I don't know of the gene characteristics at all; recessive, dominant etc etc - no one I've spoken to here in SA can tell me. I've got 100% het suphans that will breed this year so I know I will get suphans - but I'm trying to determine what it would take to breed albino suphans. Which I've also never seen - but it has been done as far as I've read and seen pictures of.
