Hey guys,
I have had good success in finding snakes however most the time I dont have my field gear with me so I cant really get close and personal. But my question is do snakes generally stay in the same area throughout their lives. I have seen the same Copperhead under the same trash pile quite a few times. But lately she has been gone. Also I seen a Cottonmouth twice in the same area but lately its been gone. Am I scaring them off or are they moving for the summer.
Thanks,
SnakeNate

Could be they are going to a cooler place when it warms up, maybe just in a gophfer hole or something like that, also maybe in need of somthing more humid as it dries out. Yes you could be scaring them off. How often are you checking/disrupting them? Are you leaving everything as you found it?....Eric
