This question has to do with my blood python recently purchased at the Atlanta Reptile show. Does anyone know a good rubbermaid-type container for an adult blood?

blood pythons get pretty big, my friend that is working on breeding them says it would be better to make cages instead of using tubs. I think 4' wide 2' deep(front to back) and 1 foot to 18 inches tall would work good.
hope that helps

Juvenile blood pythons may be easily housed in appropriately sized rubbermaid containers. Adults; however, attain a large size. Their length, weight, and most importantly their strength must be considered when evaluating prospective caging. Rubbermaids aren't suitable to house large Python curtus, unless it's within some sort of rack providing additional restraints. They (rubbermaids) are useful for transporting/shipping large pythons.
