im in the process of getting some new caging for my snakes, does anyone have any advice or ideas as far as what brands are the best?

Hi Arron:
I use two different types of cage depending on whos' home it's going to be:
For smaller snakes like Juvs or Neonates I use Precision Cage's "Small Cage". Unless you leave the door open the snake won't get out. I'm sure all of there cages are excellent but these are the ones I use & love. Lovell is a very nice guy to work with and gives you personal care.

For larger snakes I use Vision 211's. They are very nice too, except the small space between the two sliding glass doors is big enough for a smakk snake to exploit and escape. More expensive and made by a bigger company. You have to deal with one of their many dealers rather than direct.

Just a word of caution: The space between the sliding glass should not be underestimated. Take that from someone who learned the hard way.
