I just asked yesterday about Hotlanta Reptiles and from what i gather they are no longer in business. So my question is, are their any other known venomous reptile dealers in Georgia that sell native venomous snakes. Ive done some looking but so far havent been able to find anything. Any info would be great.
Thanks

I think you will find that no one that has a Shop (pet shop etc. ) will sell you a venomous snake, The liability insurance would be cost prohivative. If you are going to buy a venomous snake you are either going to check the classifieds or hit the brush. In 4 months the woods and swamps will be full of them.
I do not know your age or experience with venomous snakes but if you do not have the knowledge to care for a hot I beg you please get the proper training before you aquire a hot, there are lots of knowledgeable folks out there that will be glad to help you.
Truly yours

Check out Glades Herps at www.Gherp.com , Global Herps ar www.globalherp.com , and coastal reptiles at CoastalReptiles.com ; Theese are very serious breeders and shippers. You can find lots of cool stuff for convenient prices. The shipping isn`t too expensive. Take care.

Atrox9, I second what you said. I am not meaning to sound like MOM/DAD, But please be sure you know what your doing before tacking the big jump into keeping Hot Heaven. Even when you think your ready, think and think again. Know the problems that can come from making a OOOPPPPSS!!!!!! in this hobby. I hope you are not jumping into this hobby blind, we as a community need no more unwanted press. If you have never kept Hots before PLEASE find someone to help you learn how to keep your hands in the right places, remember one slip of the hand could mean death.....Be safe Ya'll, happy herping Wally

I think Animal House in Loganville, GA sells venomous. If you want a native I sugest going to the venomous show in Columbia,Sc in Janurary. They have a lot of varieties.

Phillip, is it legal to bring Venomous Reptiles into GA, even if the Species is native? Here in AL the law will not allow it.......Be safe, Wally

You are wrong Atrox9, I know of a pet store in Hendersonville,N.C that does sell hots, as long as you are of age.

Like the other posters, I too echo their concerns about not jumping it until you're ready. But you're asking about native venomous, so that's one step in the right direction. With that being said, I don't know if they still deal in venomous or not, but AHP Exotics in Loganville, GA used to sell them. I've seen them sell both an albino monocled and a puff. That being said, I was under the impression that exotic venomous are illegal in GA without a very tough-to-acquire permit, so I have no idea if they actually had the snakes or if they were selling them for another party or what. But you may contact them and see if they ever have native stuff available. They have a website, ahpexotics.com or something, so you might try there. Good luck, whatever you decide.
