I am purchasing a female 4 month old C. atrox, she feeds readily on live and will accept prekilled. Can anyone inform me as to what would be required to switch this snake to frozen/thawed? It is easier for me to do it that way. I don't have a convenient source from which to acquire live. And, would rather not have to house a supply of them if I can avoid it. If anyone can give me some tips on how to get this snake to readily take frozen I would appreciate it.

Hello,
Warmth is the key. Id say get some frozen and thaw them out in hot water. Make sure the water is nice and hot, then offer it to the atrox. The heat, if nothing else will get a defencive strike and once alittle venom is injected, they usualy come back to look at it later. Has worked well for me raiseing neonate Agkistordons and im sure it will do the trick with an already feeding atrox.
Good luck to ya!
Later,
Jeremy
