HI Jeremy:
Read this PDF by Matt Harris. This will tell you how to aquire A/V from outside the USA.
A/V costs anywhere from $25 to $1500 for some of the AUS serum. Domestic A/V costs the hospitals about $900/vial but the Hospital can charge you what every they want. I have heard costs from $1675 to $10,000 per vial.... So, a minor bits can cost you about $30,000.00 before all is said & done.
I have a stock of SAVP Poly & a few of Echis for what I keep but it just went out of date at the end of last year. The current replacement cost is $75.00 per vial. Here where problems occur: If you keep your own doctors don't like to use it because it was not stored at a hospital pharmacy ( 4 deg )under THEIR control, so they might refuse to use it if you brought it along with you to the hospital.
This is why Matt Harris and I are forming the NEAVB to solve this and many of these problem. See www.neavb.org for all of the details.
I hope to make a major announcment Moday regarding the NEAVB, so stay tuned..it very close now.
I think this covers most of what you were asking...also search the experts forum by using "A/V" or Antivenom to see many of the threads about A/V.
