I am interested in getting started with venomous snakes. I have kept aggressive snakes in the past and I have a Afrock Python, so I am used to aggressive snakes. But before I jump in I would like to know if there are any good book on keeping venomous snakes, and if so were can I get them.

There really aren't any good starter books on the market. There is one on keeping rattlesnakes in the Reviews section of this website. It really has some mixed reviews though and not all of the scientific information is completely accurate. For instance, you should never think of a venomous snake as a pet.
The next best thing to a published book is Allen Hunter's website called "Venom 101". { The address is www.kingsnake.com/venom101 } Allen pretty much covers all the bases on his site and I do think he ultimately plans to make it a book. He should. It's great.
This site also has a lot of information that a beginner needs to read. Go through all of the articles here. Go to the links page and choose the category - Educational. There are links to most of the best venomous keeper websites on the net.
Another good thing that you can do though, is to find someone who already keeps venomous snakes and get them to school you.
Your real ultimate authority should be Allen Hunter's website. I know that his information is dead on.

According to kingsnake.com, Allen Hunter's Venom 101 website has been dismantled. I searched the internet (including some cached documents) and came up with nothing. Could anyone please help me find the information that was on the Venom 101 site anywhere in any form? THANKS!
