I live in Ontario and I was going to order some snakes in the US and have them shipped to Buffalo, then come down and pick them up and bring them back into Canada.
My question is, does anyone know what is involved, in terms of paperwork, in bringing a non-CITIES snake across the border from the US to Canada?
And I realize that I could always just not declare it, but I'd like to do this the legal way if at all possible.

Okay so I think I've answered my own question. A quick search on google produced this:
http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english.../turtlese.shtml
Apparently there are no permits required for bringing snakes across the border providing they are not CITIES.
Sweet, off to Buffalo I go!
